From the Desk of
Deacon Dominick Peloso, Director of Vallombrosa Retreat Center

Dear Friends of Vallombrosa,

Our retreat center continues to be 11 acres of peace in a digitally and otherwise noisy and sometimes frantic world. In this quiet, our minds feel that most precious gift of God as He says: “Peace be with you.” Here, Christians can draw closer to their Maker, and even secular organizations note the wisdom and community that flows from such a place as this.

Our friendly and experienced staff is ready to serve organizations to further their goals and enhance the capabilities of their staff. We have 60 rooms with 100 beds available for overnight stays in addition to three large conference rooms, various breakout spaces, and a full kitchen and dining room.
We also welcome individuals who would like to take the time to just get away for a few days by themselves. These private retreats have become very popular. They are reasonably priced, and when other groups are also on the grounds, meals can be available.
Vallombrosa presents many settings for reflection. In addition to the many quiet and nature-filled areas, we have inspirational locations that enable everyone to touch the heavens. These garden spots include areas dedicated to Lourdes, Fatima, St. Joseph, St. Theresa of Avila, Mother Theresa of Calcutta, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Francis of Assisi. Reminders also abound with the activities that bring peace: the corporal and the spiritual works of mercy.

Now in addition to our large round main chapel, we have created a beautiful chapel in our 155-year-old mansion. This chapel is not only for services but allows for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by both individuals and groups.
As a service to the community, we make our park like setting available for everyone to enjoy quiet, prayerful walks.

As always, we would welcome your financial assistance to sustain our important work. Your support is crucial to our mission both in providing updates and, most importantly, giving scholarships to those who cannot afford to come.
Please contact our helpful staff for information and scheduling your group’s next event or your own private retreat. We eagerly await your arrival.

In the love of Christ, may peace be with you,

Deacon Dominick Peloso
